"MEDALLIONS" ANTIQUE GLASS SERIES

These glass tiles are handmade. Glass is melted into our molds at temperatures around 1560 degrees for around 45 hours in our kiln. Molds are made of plaster and destroyed by heat...After the initial casting process, the tiles may be fired a second time to impart iridescence and patina . The patina gives a somewhat matt or an iridescent finish.. The edges are softly uneven. The thickness is about three eights. Colors can be customized to work with your choice of background color. Because colors are difficult to render perfectly in these photographs we prefer to work from your field color sample.
